Admissions Procedure

We welcome pupils from 2 to 11 years, from all abilities and backgrounds to ensure a healthy diversity in our community.  Our main entry points into the the school are Kindergarten (age 2) Lower Prep (age 4) and Year 3 (age 7), however, we welcome new pupils at any stage.  Children interested in joining the school will be invited to join us for a day so that they can get a feel for the school and interact with other pupils in a classroom setting.  We recommend that Kindergarten children attend 2 sessions which will be arranged with our Head of Early Years.

Although there is no exam for entrance to our main school, we do request that parents and children attend a formal interview in addition to the child’s trial day at school to ensure that we can fully accommodate the educational and social needs of your child.  Each application is carefully evaluated on an individual basis, taking into account the outcome of the interview and where appropriate, references from your child’s previous school.

Entrance to the Kindergarten is dependent on your child’s experience during their 2 sessions and an informal chat with our Head of Early Years and Head Teacher.

Where possible, we attempt to accommodate siblings and give every consideration to the importance of preserving stability and continuity for our pupils and their families.

We welcome visits to our school throughout the year.  If you would like to arrange a visit and meeting with our Head Teacher, please contact the school secretary, Mrs Pitt on 01902 850 568.

Academic Scholarships & Financial  Bursaries are available and awarded at the discretion of the school proprietors.
